Our PTO thrives thanks to the incredible support of parents, guardians, and community members like you! Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do—helping us create enriching experiences for our students and supporting our school.
Flexible Involvement:
Pitch in whenever you can—no minimum commitment required! Whether you have an hour to spare at school or prefer to assist from home, every bit of help counts.
Q: Do I need both fingerprinting and a TB test to volunteer with the PTO?
A: It depends on the role! Jurupa Unified School District (JUSD) has two levels of clearance based on how much time you spend on campus and the type of activity.
Q: When do I only need a TB clearance?
A: You only need a TB test if you are always directly supervised by a certified JUSD staff member and:
Helping in your child’s classroom for less than 4 hours a week.
Assisting with school activities for less than 4 hours a week.
Chaperoning a field trip where you are only supervising your own child (or attending without an assigned student group).
Q: When do I need BOTH fingerprinting and a TB clearance?
A: You will need both clearances if you are:
Volunteering in classrooms or at school activities regularly or for more than 4 hours a week.
Chaperoning a field trip where you supervise a group of students without JUSD certified staff present.
Serving as an overnight chaperone.
Escorting students from one location to another on campus.
